Buying and owning a car can be riddled with challenges and unexpected costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today’s market, not only do waiting periods for new vehicles exceed a year, but the cost of used cars is continuing to soar at all-time highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research we ran with YouGov in December last year indicated that 5 million Australians over the age of 21, intended to buy a new or used car in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With demand so high and supply so low, finding a reliable used car at the right price is not an easy task.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the outlook for 2023 isn’t much rosier, with many car makers forecasting supply to remain constrained due to the ongoing chip shortage1<\/sup>, lockdowns in China and the war in Ukraine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, it’s not all bad news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that Australians like subscriptions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, over 78% of Aussie households have at least ONE subscription service2<\/sup> – most have more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With all the drama that comes with buying a car it\u2019s no surprise that car subscriptions<\/a> are growing in popularity not only in Australia, but globally. And we expect this trend to continue, especially as demand for Electric Vehicles<\/a> picks up as innovation kicks in.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
